BAC RallyCross #11 @ SSW April 13/14

Final event of the 2013/14 season

The long range forecast is looking good.

There are some championships that come down to this last event.

The place to be on Sunday April 13 is Scotia Speed World.

BAC RallyCross #10 @ SSW March 30/14

BAC RallyCross #10 @ SSW March 30/14

The weather is not looking all that good, it will definitely be an interesting event.

A low pressure system approaching from the U.S. East Coast late on Saturday is expected to pass slowly south of Nova Scotia on Sunday and Monday.

The precipitation produced by the system is expected to begin as freezing rain or ice pellets early Sunday across northern Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island before changing to rain. The rest of Nova Scotia will get a soaking from rain that is expected to be heavy at times.

BAC RallyCross @ Scotia Speedworld on Feb 16/14 cancelled

Just in from Gordon Sleigh:

Sorry folks, not what I wanted to be writing again but the rain last night really killed us. I visited the lot this afternoon and you sink into the ground just walking on it.

Mother nature just isn’t working with us this weekend. Hopefully some folks will find their outlet at the MMSC and FMC events this weekend.

RallyCross Feb 2nd cancelled work party instead

update February 1, 2014

Event cancelled completely there will not be any work party

January 31/14

Just in from BAC / Gordon Sleigh:

Okay folks, here’s the story. Forecast for tonight is 60% chance of Rain, 0 degrees tomorrow and 6 degrees and early morning rain on Sunday. Thats going to make for a soft lot and I’m just not comfortable that we won’t wreck the small lot and not be able to fix it if we run.
I don’t want to cancel another event, but I think at this point its more important to try and save the rest of our season, so to that end we’re going to have a work party on Sunday in the Scotia big lot to try and fix up what we did so we can run there on the 16th. I think everyone agrees we’d much rather be in the large lot than the small one anyway.

So calling all able bodied rallycrossers to come out to Scotia on Sunday at 10:30 or so. Bring boots, gloves and shovels/rakes/hoes. If we can pull things down and even them out mechanically we will but we may be resorting to good ‘ol manpower to fix the worst of it.
