Good Luck to Mal Swann & Tim Dine @ Rallye Perce-Neige

Bluenose Autosport Club member, Mal Swann with Co-Driver Tim Dine have travelled the almost 1500km to the quaint town of Maniwaki, QC to partake in the fun that is Rallye Perce-Neige. This is the first national rally on the Canadian Rally Championship Series calendar for 2016. This rally has 215km of stage roads with a fun combination of long woods stages and some great spectator stages within the town.

In similar fashion to Rallye Charlevoix, Swann’s 1979 RX7 has once again created quite a buzz amongst the Rally teams. He will have some competition in rear wheel drive against BC native Jason Bailey in his 2004 Subaru BRZ.

Mal had some fun during recce (sources say the ol’ F350 may or may not have found some air), and after the day of recconnaisance Mal and Tim feel confident about the roads tomorrow and are looking forward to the challenge ahead.

Keep your eyes on the BAC Facebook Page, Mal Swann Rallye, and the Canadian Rally Championship Facebook page for updates on the Rally. You can also follow the results at RallyScoring.com.

Good Luck Mal & Tim!!

Mal Swann Rallye @ Rallye Ville la Toque Feb 20 2016

Mal Swann with co-driver Martin Cadieux, are well underway with early morning recce at Rallye Ville la Toque in Ville La Toque, Quebec, north west of Quebec City. There were a few inches of snow overnight, so it should make for interesting conditions, and surfaces for the WRC studded Pirelli tires used for this event.

The 1979 Mazda RX7 is prepped and ready for the challenge. Rallye Ville la Toque is a winter event with 137km of stage. Swann, Cadieux and the service crew are excited, their spirits are high and they’re hoping for a good day.

Good Luck Mal & Martin! We are cheering for you from the comforts of our homes. Follow the results at Rally Scoring.

March 28, 2015 RallyCross meeting

Saturday March 28th 3pm-6pm
Where: 4th Floor (Manulife Securities Office) of 84 Chain Lake Drive (the office building behind the Starbucks and next to the car dealership)

Light snacks/refreshments will be available.

It’s obvious that we need to do something about RallyCross in Nova Scotia. Between the venues and the unusual winter mothernature has thrown at us this year, it has made it difficult to throw together events in a short time. So let’s do something, and let’s do it right.

It will take some man-power, and planning ahead to get a 2015-2016 season together. RallyCross is not organized in a day (although it seems to appear that way!).

Let’s get together to discuss possible venues, course set-up, scoring, event dates, cost and how we’d like to see a 2015-2016 season to look. This will be the first meeting of a few, we won’t be able to achieve everything in a few hours. The purpose is to get a plan together and develop the ideas we all have.

RSVP: rally@armsinc.ca
